The Accord on Thursday officially unveiled Henry Ifechukwu Ofili as its aspirant for the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency ahead of the forthcoming general elections in Delta State.

The unveiling ceremony, which held in Asaba, attracted party leaders, stakeholders, supporters, and members of different communities across the constituency.

Speaking during the event, Ofili said his aspiration was inspired by the need to ensure youth inclusion in leadership and governance while also bringing meaningful development to the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency.

According to him, he is determined to champion the voice of young people and contribute positively to the development of the state.

“My aspiration is inspired by looking at the areas of Aniocha/Oshimili and the need for the youth to be inclusive in the leadership of the state. I am speaking and championing the youth voice in the state and bringing meaningful development,” he said.

The Accord Aspirant stated that integrity and honesty would define his style of leadership if elected into office.

He added that his focus would be on infrastructural development, improving primary healthcare, boosting security, strengthening the educational sector, and supporting farmers across the constituency.

Ofili stressed that his administration would be people-oriented, noting that the needs of the people would shape his developmental agenda.

“My projects will be people-centered. I will ask the people what their immediate needs are. I will visit each ward to ensure that my agenda is not forced on them,” he stated.

Calling for support from constituents, Ofili said he had already facilitated federal government projects to some communities within Aniocha/Oshimili as an entrepreneur and pledged to do more if given the opportunity to serve in the House of Representatives.

He expressed confidence in his ability to deliver quality representation, describing himself as “Moses in the Bible” who had come to lead the people to the “promised land.”

The event had in attendance the Delta State Chairman of the Accord, Fred Obi, who noted that change is very necessary and is constant while urging the younger ones to take over leadership. Also present were party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters from various communities within the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency.
