APC Chieftain, Monye Lauds Oborevwori for Uromi Junction Flyover Project Ground Breaking

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr. Lucky Ehiwuogwu Monye, has commended the Governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for the ground breaking of the historic Uromi Junction Flyover Project, Agbor.

He said in a statement to mark the event on Monday, that the action of the governor was a stoic evidence of his commitment to the infrastructure growth of the state but also a reflection of his desire for the effective resolution of the age- long vehicular traffic crisis in the area occasioned by the dilapidation of the strategic Uromi Junction.

Monye, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Monaco Ventures Nigeria Limited and founder, Lucky Ehiwuogwu Monye Foundation, said that the poor state of the junction and adjoining areas had created major challenges for road users, including gridlocks, breakdowns , and, as experience has shown, frequent mishaps that often proved fatal.

He said that the flyover, on completion, would not only check the traffic crisis and enhance travel safety and the aesthetics of the city of Agbor, but also boost the economy of the immediate host community.

The APC stalwart called on all stakeholders, especially opinion leaders and the youth of the host community, to cooperate with the construction firm in order to expeditiously deliver the project to specification.

He urged the host community and other users of the project to stridently protect it in order to prolong its durability and place due value on the cost of the product to the public purse.
