The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of the driver of a Lexus Sports Utility Vehicle involved in the road accident that led to the death of a close associate and trainer of British boxing star, Anthony Joshua.
The confirmation was made on Thursday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, through a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
DSP Babaseyi disclosed that the driver is currently being held in police custody while investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash continue.
“The driver of the Lexus SUV is presently in custody in connection with the Anthony Joshua accident case. Investigations are ongoing,” the police spokesperson stated.
The police said further updates would be provided as the investigation progresses.
