The immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, is currently present at the Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna, as he awaits the highly anticipated ruling on his bail application.
It will be recalled that during Tuesday’s proceedings, the presiding judge deferred the decision on the bail request put forward by the embattled former governor’s legal team, adjourning the matter until today.
El-Rufai is currently standing trial and has been docked over a 10-count charge levelled against him. The allegations primarily border on suspected money laundering, alongside the unlawful conversion and possession of government-owned properties.
