It has been exclusively gathered that a prominent member of the House of Representatives from Lagos who, in 2023, fought hard to become the President’s Chief of Staff but failed is behind the invincibility of the alleged fraudster who, until recently, was parading himself as the DG of a fake agency PFIPC, Adeniyi Adeyemi Mathew.
The Honourable Member was behind the lies told by Adeniyi where he claimed that the Chief of Staff demanded bribe from him. Adeniyi merely acted on instruction. The said member had sworn to ensure that Gbajabiamila is removed as the Chief of Staff with the possibility of him replacing Gbajabiamila, or better still, even if he was not able to replace him, Gbajabiamila’s removal alone will pave a way for him in the next assembly to Chair the House Appropriation Committee.
The top lawmaker is said to have positioned serving Lagos state Commissioner, who is a woman from his constituency, as his replacement in the House of Representatives if he eventually succeeded in pushing the current Chief of Staff out of office.
However, Gbajabiamila’s handling of the whole saga despite the unwanted aggression against him by adversaries, especially his prompt report of the matter to the DSS and Police which officially made him the Whistle-blower according to the Presidency has thwarted the Lawmaker’s plot. Also several ongoing investigations will expose the secret roles of high ranking individuals including this lawmaker in the whole saga.
