Iran Warns US Against Intervention After Trump Comments on Protests

Iran has issued a warning to the United States against any form of intervention in its internal affairs, vowing to respond after President Donald Trump said he would support protesters in the Islamic republic.

Ali Shamkhani, an adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, delivered the warning in a statement posted on X on Friday, stressing that the country’s national security was non-negotiable.

He cautioned that any action threatening Iran’s security, regardless of the justification, would be met with a response, describing the matter as a “red line” for the Iranian state.

The statement follows remarks by President Trump indicating his willingness to come to the aid of demonstrators, comments that have further heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington.
