Hunger ‘ll Vanish, Expect ‘Reverse Japa’ — Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has declared that the year 2026 will mark the beginning of a “reverse Japa” phenomenon, predicting that many Nigerians who emigrated in search of greener pastures will return home due to improved conditions in the country.

The revered cleric made this known during the church’s crossover service held at the Redemption City, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, in the early hours of Thursday.

Addressing a mammoth crowd of worshippers who gathered to usher in the new year, Adeboye prophesied that 2026 would significantly surpass 2025 in terms of blessings and stability.

According to him, the spiritual momentum gathered in 2024 is set to strengthen, ushering in a season where failures and setbacks will drastically reduce.

Touching on the economic situation that has plagued the nation, Pastor Adeboye offered a message of hope, prophesying a noticeable reduction in hunger across the land.

He assured the congregation that the acute food scarcity and economic hardship witnessed in recent times would ease, paving the way for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to thrive. This, he noted, would lead to job creation and economic stability.

“The new year will bring more opportunities, breakthroughs, and successes,” the cleric stated, adding that the testimony on the lips of many believers this year would be, “God remembered me at last.”

In what was perhaps the most striking part of his message regarding Nigeria, Adeboye predicted a shift in migration patterns.

He stated that the country would witness a return of its citizens from the diaspora, driven by a renewed hope and the improving socio-economic landscape of the nation.

On the international scene, the man of God allayed fears regarding global instability. He stated that the risk of a major international conflict or world war in 2026 is significantly lower than in previous years.

He also touched on the climate, predicting that weather patterns would remain largely stable globally, though he cautioned that there might be isolated instances of storms.

The cleric concluded by admonishing worshippers to use the new year for deep personal reflection and to align themselves with God’s purpose, promising that more revelations concerning the future of Nigeria would be unveiled as the year progresses.
