Wizkid and Asake Expand Collaboration With Surprise Four-Track EP

Wizkid and Asake have extended their musical partnership with the release of a joint extended play, Real Vol. 1, unveiling the project directly to fans via social media. The four-track EP brings together the two Afrobeats artists at a time when both continue to dominate streaming platforms individually and collectively.

The project, announced on Instagram with a short promotional video, contains the tracks Turbulence, Jogodo, Iskolodo and Alaye. The caption accompanying the post, written partly in Yoruba, confirmed the release of the EP to listeners.

Real Vol. 1 arrives days after the release of its lead single, Jogodo, which was made public on 16 January. The song recorded strong performance figures upon release, drawing significant attention across digital platforms.

According to data from Spotify Nigeria, Jogodo amassed 1.388 million streams on its first day, setting a new record for the highest single-day total by a duo or collaborative act on the platform in Nigeria. The track debuted at number one on Spotify Nigeria’s chart and later reached number 82 on the global chart.

The EP adds to a growing list of collaborations between Wizkid and Asake, following previous joint efforts such as MMS and Bad Girl. In 2025, both artists have also recorded notable individual successes, with Wizkid’s Morayo emerging as the most-streamed album on Apple Music Nigeria, while Asake’s Why Love topped the platform’s song chart.
